Q: How can I tell what shock pressure to run?

Rob Jones

A: Most manufacturers will give a guideline chart for suspension setup on their websites, so check there first. Otherwise, set your shock so it sags about 25% of the total available travel when you sit on it. The shock should then reach full travel once or twice on your normal ride. If it feels too squishy or hits full travel much more often than that, add some air. If it feels too hard or never gets to full travel, then let some air out.
