The 2025 WorldTour was Tadej Pogačar’s sixth season as part of the pro peloton and saw the Slovenian cement his place as one of (if not the) greatest riders of all time.
Although only 27, the UAE Team Emirates rider surpassed 100 pro career wins, finishing the season on 108 to date.
These weren’t the cycling equivalent of a footballing goal poacher’s tap-ins, either, and included three more Monuments, four Tour de France stage wins and a second UCI Road World Championships.
But his season wasn’t defined only by wins – it was the manner in which he achieved them, too. Pogačar continues to show new ways to come out on top; whether that’s targeting his rivals’ weaknesses over the course of a three-week Grand Tour or launching seemingly kamikaze solo attacks that only he can sustain.
When he can hold an estimated 442 watts for 40 minutes, it’s clear the Slovenian is on another level. But what is his ceiling? From his lofty position in the all-time standings to a record, race-winning 66.6km solo attack, here are the numbers that defined his 2025 season.
10

Pogačar took on all five Monuments for the first time as an Elite rider, claiming wins at the Tour of Flanders, Liège-Bastogne–Liège and Il Lombardia, while finishing second at Paris–Roubaix and third at Milan–Sanremo.
His three victories, including his fifth consecutive Il Lombardia win, took him to 10 Monuments, and he now trails only Eddy Merckx (19) and Roger De Vlaeminck (11) in the all-time standings.
The Slovenian still needs to win at Paris–Roubaix and Milan–Sanremo to join Merckx, De Vlaeminck and Rik Van Looy as the only riders to complete the set, and both are on his race calendar for 2026.
20

While he only started 50 race days all year, the 27-year-old made it count when he did, picking up nine stage wins, eight one-day race victories, three general classifications and the mountain classification at the Tour de France.
His 20 wins, including his fourth Tour de France, second world championship and the European championship, were more than half as many as the WorldTour teams managed all year. They also took his running tally to 108 pro victories since 2019.
21

Four of Pogačar’s most impressive wins came during his defence of his Tour de France title.
His final of this year’s Grand Boucle – a demolition of yellow-jersey rival Jonas Vingegaard during the Pyrenean uphill time trial – took his total Tour de France stage wins to 21 from six starts, and he now sits sixth in the all-time standings.
While Pogačar’s got 14 more to get before he equals Mark Cavendish’s record, few would bet against the all-rounder achieving it.
66.6

Pogačar displayed a variety of ways of winning in 2025, but none were as explosive as his solo attacks.
When the Slovenian throws down the gauntlet, no other rider can match his raw power, and the result becomes something of a foregone conclusion.
He used this tactic to great effect when defending his rainbow jersey at the Road World Championships in Rwanda, pulling away with 66.6km to go and time-trialling all the way to the line. His rainbow-jersey winning effort not only clinched him a second world title, though, but also the record for the longest winning attack of the 2025 season.
8,635

Pogačar's 50 race days still saw him accumulate a total distance of 8,635km during the 2025 season, with 3,302km alone coming at the Tour de France – his only Grand Tour of the year.
This total is more than 1,000km less than 2024, where he did the triple crown (Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, world championships), but isn’t his shortest season yet, which came during 2020’s Covid-ravaged year.
