Velothon Wales will take place on Sunday, 14 June, and will offer its riders an unforgettable, traffic-free journey out of Cardiff city centre and through the stunning countryside of South Wales and some of its most iconic landmarks.

The event is sold out, but as an official media partner, BikeRadar has teamed up with the organisers to offer 100 exclusive entries.

To secure a place, head over to the exclusive Velothon Wales / BikeRadar booking page now. There’s a 140km route option that weaves through some of Wales’ most beautiful scenery for £55, and a 50km option, for less experienced riders, priced at £40.

The full route for Velothon Wales was also announced this week. Highlights will include coastal roads through the Gwent levels, the picturesque villages of Caerleon and Usk, and the Unesco World Heritage Site at Blaenavon.

One of the biggest challenges will come in the form of The Tumble climb, a famously testing 6km stretch of road with an average gradient of nine percent. The route will finish in front of thousands of spectators in Cardiff city centre. The sportive will be followed by a UCI-sanctioned pro race.

Riders can preview what’s in store on the event’s interactive route map.

In addition to BikeRadar’s 100 entries, there are still a number of charity places available, to raise funds for a number of charities, including Save the Children and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. See the full list of partner charities at the Velothon Wales website.
