The Sunline V-1 Carbon is a super-light riser bar, perfect for cross country or general trail bike use. With two versions available, it's a pity that there isn't a racing option too.
You really do notice the (lack of) weight on the Sunline bar – it weighs a scant 180g for the 31.8mm diameter version and 150g for the 25.4mm diameter, both with a full 685mm width.
All the riser bends happen close to the stem, leaving you plenty of space to mount your controls – even if you decide to trim the bar down. The seven-degree rear and minimal upsweep are great for XC use, too.
It would have be good to have another version with a half-inch less rise for a raceday option – but you could argue that we’re just being picky.
Sunline specialises in freeride and downhill products, but also offers a few choice cross-country and trail bike components.
