The popularity of handmade bicycle shows continues in 2010 with the sell out of exhibitor space at San Diego Custom Bicycle Show. The show will run 8-11 April in the Golden Pacific Ballroom at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center.
The 8 April kickoff includes clinics led by industry veterans, including: Brian Baylis, Dave Bohm and Rob Roberson (of Joe Bell Bicycle Refinishing).
Doors to the public exhibition open at 10am Friday morning and attendees will be treated to hand-built fabrications from legendary framebuilders, including: Alberto Masi, Steve Bilenky, Bill Holland, Bruce Gordon, Keith Anderson, and Mark Nobilette. A variety of building materials and fabrication techniques will be on display. Attendees can expect to see lugged, filleted, and TIG-welded steel, titanium, aluminum, and carbon.
The San Diego Custom Bicycle Show is a national event featuring builders from the East Coast, Pacific Northwest, Rocky Mountains, South West as well as California.
Tickets are available in advance via the internet at a 20% discount. They will be available for $15 at the door. For tickets and more information go to sandiegocustombicycleshow.com
