Mondraker's Level eMTB is claimed to be ready for the biggest, gnarliest descents thanks to loads of new tech, without being a full-blown downhill bike.
The all-aluminium frame has been re-jigged for the updated suspension system.
Still dubbed 'Zero Suspension', the twin co-rotating link's pivot points have been moved to boost the 170mm of travel's sensitivity at the start of its travel and large-bump absorption deeper into the shock's stroke.
This switch-up means the vertically mounted shock now pierces the bike's seat tube, rather than sitting in front of it as before.
Lowering the shock in the frame means improved stiffness and a better centre of gravity.
Mondraker has also 'squashed' the rear triangle, making it more compact, which means it only uses mixed wheels (29in front, 27.5in rear) instead of the dual 29in wheels of the outgoing bike.

Like the brand's long-standing Zero Suspension, Mondraker's Forward Geometry is still present, which boosts reach figures and reduces stem lengths.
But, upping adaptability, the Level has a new size: ML. This bridges the gap between medium and large bikes.
The five-size range (S-XL) sees reach figures (low position) start at 436mm and lift to 516mm. The new ML's figure is 476mm.

Proportional chainstay lengths feature across the sizes. Small, medium and medium-large bikes get 445mm stays, while the large and extra-large have a 455mm figure. Mondraker says this means the Level's handling feels the same regardless of rider height.
There's also a two-position geometry-adjusting flip chip in the lower shock mount.

With a standard and low position, the chip changes the bottom bracket height by 5mm (353mm standard, 348mm low) and the head angle 0.35 degrees (64 degrees standard, 63.65 degrees low).
Powered by Bosch's latest Gen 5 Performance Line CX motor, the Level has 100Nm of peak torque and 750W of peak power.

That power, and a brand-new eMTB+ mode, will be unleashed at the start of July via an over-the-air update.
It's also got Bosch's latest in-built Kiox 400 top tube display with an integrated USB-C port to charge accessories.

Three builds of the new Level will be available, using Mondraker's long-standing R, RR and XR nomenclature – ranging from most affordable to range-topping.
