3T is recalling Aura Pro aerobars that were sold as original equipment on two Cervélo 2013 bikes, the P3 with Shimano Ultegra and the P5 Three with SRAM Red. The recall involves replacing the bolts that attach the extension clamps to the basebar.

The original bolts were not long enough to properly connect the base bar and the extensions, and the extensions can come loose. One related injury has been reported.

Only Aura Pros used on the two Cervélo are recalled, not the aftermarket version

It's important to note that only these original equipment (OE) bars are affected, not the aftermarket Aura Pro bars that consumers may have purchased separately. One way to tell the difference: the recalled Cervélo Custom Edition aerobar has four cradle-clamp bolt locations, while the standard Aura Pro armrests have only one. Also, the affected bars have ski-bend extensions and armrest pads that do not have an embossed 3T logo, as the aftermarket version does.

The two affected Cervélo bikes are 2013 models that were sold as complete bikes from September 2012 to January 2013.
