With the Rio Olympics opening ceremony just over a week away, Canyon has shown off the custom-painted Aeroad and Ultimate CF SLX frames that will be ridden at this year’s Summer Olympics.

In all, there will be 20 international athletes from ten different nations riding Canyon bikes, including top-flight cyclists like Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) and Trixi Worrack (Canyon-SRAM), as well as triathletes like João Pereira and Anne Haug.

The design borrows heavily from the colours of the Brazilian flag: green and yellow - Canyon Bicycles / David Robinson

The new frame designs take inspiration from the Brazilian flag, so there’s a lot of green and yellow. Brazil’s national motto "Ordem e Progresso" ("Order and Progress") isn’t emblazoned anywhere, but seeing as the bikes are designed and assembled in Koblenz, Germany, we reckon they’ll still evince this formula.
