When the Canyon//SRAM team line up on the start line of the OVO Women’s Tour in the UK on 10 June they’ll be resplendent in a super-bright special edition kit, inspired by the colours of the Rapha Women’s 100 event.

This is the 7th edition of the Women’s 100, which Rapha has been running annually since 2013, and over 8,000 women took part in rides in 2018.

The event encourages women around the world to ride 100km on a set day, sharing their stories and experiences through Rapha and social media with the hashtag #womens100.

The aim of the event is to encourage more women into cycling by developing grass-roots networks.

The 2019 edition of the Women's 100 event will take place on 14 September.

As well as ride-outs from Rapha Clubhouses, which riders can sign up for on the Women’s 100 page of the Rapha website, Canyon will also be organising led rides with more information available closer to the event date.

On top of that, women can also register to pledge a solo ride, their own group ride and more, and in previous years those who completed the ride received a commemorative patch.

Rapha, Canyon//SRAM and the OVO Women’s Tour

Rapha is a key sponsor of the Canyon//SRAM pro team, which includes some of the best female cyclists on the planet such as Hannah and Alice Barnes, Tiffany Cromwell and Pauline Ferrand-Prevot.

The relationship between the brand and the team has led to the refinement and development of Rapha’s women’s kit range, including women’s weather-resistant Shadow kit and its brand-new chamois pad.

The OVO Women’s Tour sets the current gold standard of bike races in women’s cycling

Canyon//SRAM Team Manager and Director Sportif Ronny Lauke comments: “The OVO Women’s Tour sets the current gold standard of bike races in women’s cycling. Built from scratch, it is one of the best organised stage events within professional racing. Media coverage is outstanding and the prize purse is also amongst the highest in the sport.

"Every day the roads are packed with spectators, the start and finish areas are filled with fans having close access to their heroes; it’s the perfect stage to do the Rapha Women’s 100 kit changeout and inspire hundreds of women to ride together.”

The team will have a few additional elements over and above those available to mere mortals, with team sponsors Giro,
