Canyon and Formula One star Valtteri Bottas have created a limited-edition Canyon Grail CFR VB 77 with 'disco vibes'.
With a glitter-ball finish, the gravel bike takes inspiration from the 1970s disco aesthetic, which Canyon says Bottas has taken to “like a budgie to a smuggler”.
“[I]n tribute to his business-at-the-front, party-at-the-back vibe, Canyon has developed a limited-edition Valtteri Bottas Grail CFR, a bike that celebrates the F1 star’s favourite 77 race number and just so happens to be one of the peak years of disco,” says Canyon.

Canyon has also launched a social media campaign that sees the 10-times Grand Prix winner doing his best Saturday Night Fever moves with his new bike.
Alongside the mirror-ball finish, Canyon’s designer Lukas Beck has adapted the brand's mountain head tube icon to resemble Bottas’ moustache, which the German company describes as a “fitting tribute to a man who is carving out a unique identity in the bike world”.

You might be wondering what ‘unique identity’ the reserve driver for Mercedes has in the bike world. Well, alongside racing F1, the 35-year-old Fin is a competitive age-group bike racer and his partner Tiffany Cromwell races for Canyon–SRAM zondacrypto.
Last year, he even took part in the UCI World Gravel Championships, where Canyon decked him out with its latest Grail CFR painted in Finnish colours.
Bottas’ Canyon Grail VB 77 takes a slightly more outlandish look than his Gravel World Championships bike, but otherwise it has a similar spec.

The bike is fitted with the SRAM Red XPLR AXS groupset, which has a 1x crankset and a 13-speed cassette.
It has Zipp 303 XPLR wheels with 54mm-deep and 32mm-wide rims.
It’s complete with Canyon’s adaptable CP0047 Gear Groove Pro cockpit, wrapped in Canyon Ergospeed Gel bar tape, alongside a Canyon seatpost and Fizik Vento saddle.
Canyon says there are only 100 of these bikes available.
