Fat bike fans listen up, Canyon has added a new flagship model to its Dude range for 2016 called the 9.0 EX. It comes with a Reverb dropper post and extra-chunky 4.8in Jumbo Jim tyres.
The Dude 9.0 EX also gets RockShox Bluto RCT3 fork, SRAM's X01 11speed drivetrain, DT Swiss BR 2250 wheels and SRAM Guide Ultimate disc brakes. It'll set you back £2,999 in the UK (international pricing is TBC), and weight is a claimed 12.5kg.
Next model down is the Dude 9.0 SL, which gets a RockShox Bluto RL fork, the same wheels as its big brother, Shimano Deore XT Shadow Plus drivetrain and brakes. Price is £2,399 and claimed weight is 13.1kg.
The Dude CF 9.0 Unlimited sits in the middle of the range, with a Canyon Rude CF fork, SRAM's X01 11speed drivetrain and Guide RS brakes. Price is £2,199 and weight is 12.2kg.
Below that sits the Dude CF 9.0, which features a Bluto RL fork, Shimano Deore XT Shadow Plus drivetrain (11speed) and Shimano SLX brakes, along with the same DT Swiss wheels specced throughout the range. Price is £2,049 and weight is 13.2kg.
Finally, at the bottom of the range is the Dude CF 8.0, which has Canyon's Rude CF fork, Shimano Deore XT Shadow Plus drivetrain (10speed) and Shimano BRM506 brakes. Price is £1,799 and it's claimed to tip the scales at 12.2kg.
As we reported earlier in the week, Canyon Bicycles will be available in Australia from December, although exact models and pricing is to be confirmed. The gossip has it that entry into the US is imminent, but it's yet to be confirmed.
