American cyclo-cross racer and 2007 World Champion silver medalist Jonathan Page has signed a deal to ride for Blue Competition Cycles for the remainder of the 2008/2009 cyclo-cross campaign.

According to the company, Blue Competition Cycles has been talking with Page for the past few seasons and has finally worked out a deal that brought him on board, after Page had a fallout with his current bike sponsor Ridley.

“I made a phone call to Blue, one of the four major bicycle companies that had asked me to ride for them this season," Page wrote on his website. "Within 30 minutes, I had a more than acceptable offer and a tracking number for the bikes that were already in route. I received them without hassle on Friday and worked until late to build them up for their debut at the World Cup.”

Page will be equipped with Blue Competition Cycles’ CXc carbon cyclo-cross framesets. The CXc features Aerus Conquest high modulus carbon fiber tube set and stays bonded to 7005 series AL lugs.

"We're thrilled to have JP on board with us at Blue," Blue Competition Cycles president Michael Skop said. "I've known him since his days in junior racing and have been in awe of his abilities on a cyclocross bike. It's a pleasure and an honour to finally be working with him."
