Team Monster Energy/Specialized are over in South Africa preparing for this year's opening World Cup round, and Fraser Britton from Transcend Magazine sent us these shots of Sam Hill's new bike.

The red and black Specialized Demo 8 has the former world champion's name on the top tube, along with an Australian flag.

It is kitted out with the new RockShox Boxxer forks and Vivid shock, along with BlackBox (the SRAM group's racing product development programme) kit including new Truvativ cranks and a Sram X-0 rear mech.

Other components include an e-thirteen chain device, Cane Creek headset, Funn finishing kit, Crank Brothers 5050 pedals and DT Swiss wheels.

Hill will be looking to reassert his dominance this year after a disappointing 2008 when he lost his World Championship and World Cup titles. The '09 Nissan UCI World Cup kicks off this weekend on a new course in Pietermaritzburg.
