The latest hot products to land at BikeRadar HQ are these fine looking - and performing – helmets from Italian masters of the lid MET.
Starting with the road-oriented Sine Thesis in custom Liquigas green and blue colours, this performance helmet is currently being worn at the 2009 Tour de France by Vincenzo Nibali, (7th place in the Tour after stage 17) Franco Pellizotti (King of the Mountains jersey holder after stage 17), Czech rider Roman Kreuziger and the rest of the Liquigas team.
Easily identifiable in the peloton by the transparent ‘skeleton’ shell running through it, the Sine Thesis was a new productions helmet for the company earlier this year.
The integrated composite exoskeleton (ICE) is made out of a semi-flexible nylon based plastic which MET claims will help carry more air inside and through the helmet, thus keeping the rider’s head cool.

Other notable features include the gel-based helmet padding which doesn’t retain sweat and heat like conventional cloth pads.
