Six long days have passed since Britain’s Lizzie Armitstead won the World Championship road race in Richmond, Virginia and it looks like her new rainbow kit design is now ready.

“Years of hard work and lot’s of sacrifices have been worth it when you can ride a year in this kit,” runs the tweet from Bioracer, which makes the kit for Armitstead’s team Boels-Dolmans.

Armitstead – who beat Dutch rival Anna Van Der Breggen to the line last Saturday with some track-honed tactics – even gets rainbow socks to wear throughout the 2016 season. Lovely detail.
