Mondraker has launched its most hardcore enduro e-MTB to date: the Level. It comes in two model options, the Mondraker Level R and the Mondraker Level RR.
When the Spanish brand set out to design this new offering, the concept was e-MTB meets long-travel, to create serious downhill capability.

Zero Suspension means zero power-loss
Mondraker has optimised several features for the Level, including its Zero Suspension system, using lessons it learnt from the e-Crafty.
This is a dual link design where the shock floats between the two suspension links and is compressed from both ends, making the rear suspension extra sensitive to impacts.
Mondraker wanted long-travel, and that’s exactly what it's delivered here. Both models get a 170mm fork, and 160mm of rear travel controlled by a coil shock.
The Level R features a Fox DHX2 2Pos Lever Performance Elite rear shock, matched with a Fox 36 Float FIT GRIP EVOL Rhythm fork with 170mm travel, while the higher-end RR comes with a Fox DHX2 2Pos Lever Factory Kashima rear shock and top end Factory GRIP 2 level fork.
Both are designed specifically for gravity-orientated riding, with X2 technology — allowing for high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment — and advanced RVS damping for more tunability.
A veritable juggernaut
The frame’s design and features all come together to deliver strength and high-speed stability on a bike that looks like it can take a bit of a battering.
Both the R and RR models come equipped with a Bosch Performance Line CX system integrated within its Stealth Alloy frameset, and are built around Mondraker’s distinctive Forward Geometry. This creates a more stable-feeling, confidence-inspiring ride through a longer reach and shorter — 44mm — fork offset.
In theory, with all this travel, you should really be able to thrash the Level around over the roughest of terrains. With its DT-Swiss Hybrid e-MTB wheels, Mondraker claims that the bike can take up to 150kg of weight (including the weight of the bike), so even the larger rider should be able to put this bike through its paces.
Mondraker says it expects the Level to “become the new benchmark in the gravity e-MTB segment”, and with its impressive spec, we look forward to finding out for ourselves how capable this bike will be.
