Portuguese bike brand Overlap’s new Pura Criteriosa is a new hand-built crit bike with no brakes and a carbon belt drive.

The Pura Criteriosa was designed for the final stage of the Red Hook Crit – an unsanctioned series of city centre criteriums – held in Milan on 11 October, to be ridden by Brazilian rider Henrique Leandro.

The bike uses a 7005-series double-butted aluminium frame with a Cinelli cockpit, Columbus carbon fork and Rodi Airline Evo wheels. The Gelu g.1 saddle is handmade from carbon and weighs just 65g, while the drivetrain is powered by an enormous 70-tooth chainring and Gates Carbon Drive. The bike is finished with a golden version of the race series’ hook logo.
