Paul Component recently put together a one-off set of ale-green components, which unfortunately won't be available to purchase, but once a year it also releases a limited colour that is available to buy. Last year it was a beautiful, retro blue and this year it has announced a new limited edition gold.
Paul says its inspiration for this latest blinged out shade of anodised parts harked back to BMXs of the eighties, mountain bikes of the early nineties and the gold Campagnolo anniversary groupsets of yesteryear.
Components getting the gold treatment include stems, seatposts, brake levers and even the little Gino Light mount that we recently featured. And, if you can't find the component you're looking for from the long list offered, such as set 'n' forgets or hubs, Paul suggests getting in touch via email.
Parts are available to pre-order now and delivery times are listed as 4–6 weeks, but Paul says that in most cases components should be ready sooner.
What do you think of this latest colour and will you be building up a retro-fabulous golden steed? Or is there a shade you'd love to see for your bike? Let us know in the comments below.
