The new Pegoretti Elio retains the Italian frame builder's reputation for craftsmanship and attention to detail, but with modern standards and design.
Pegoretti is renowned for its ability to produce bikes that marry artistic flourishes and quality engineering. The brand was one of the forerunners of traditional Italian bike building, so the announcement of a new model is a big deal.
Pegoretti’s steel bikes have always had a very traditional design. They combine classic skinny steel tube sets, external cable routing and road bike geometry based on classic parallel head and seat angles, and horizontal top tubes.

Named after late founder Leonardo Pegoretti’s son to represent the next chapter in the Pegoretti story, the Elio is something of a departure.

The new bike has revised geometry, with a lower centre of gravity thanks to a lowered bottom bracket.
Tyre clearance has been increased, in line with modern road standards, to 32mm.
The top tube gets a subtle slope, accentuated by a tapering tube that slims from 35mm to 31.7mm.

Up front, the stainless-steel head tube measures 56mm in diameter, enabling the Elio to be built with full internal routing – a first for Pegoretti.
Plugged in to this is an all-new aero-optimised carbon fork designed specifically for the Elio.
The down tube measures 42 mm, the largest Pegoretti has ever used. The rear dropouts are UDH-compliant.
The frame is made exclusively from Columbus XCR stainless steel, custom-drawn to Pegoretti’s specification.
