High praise for pisspot

Hot on the heels of POC's Cortex DH full-face helmet winning an international design award, the Swedish company's dirt jump lid has been singled out for similar praise.

The Receptor Back Country pisspot has been given a Best of the Best rating at the Red Dot Design awards in Essen, Germany.

It features the same MIPS protection system as its bigger brother, which is designed to prevent rotational head injury. The shell and liner are separated by a low-friction layer and on impact the outer layer detaches and rotates separately.

Stefan Ytterborn, CEO and founder of POC, said: "With 4,252 entries from 57 countries, it's an honour to be among the very few that receive the finest degree, 'Best of the Best'. What makes it even better is that the awarded product is our Receptor Back Country helmet, which is equipped with the anti rotational violence MIPS system. Lives may be saved thanks to this innovation which decreases rotational energy by as much as 40 percent."
