Quoc’s new Lalashan collection is inspired by the fungi found in the mountains near Taipei and includes, of all things, a pair of sliders.

The colours in the range are inspired by the mushrooms found in Taiwan. The collection features fungi-derived pastel colours in the form of dusty pink and amber models, and organic patterns in the detailing such as the breathable air holes of the shoe.

The Lalashan collection consists of five new models, all of which are available now in sizes EU38 through to EU47.

Quoc has a reputation for designing stylish performance footwear, from its original handmade leather Fixed shoe right up to last year's slick Gran Tourer II gravel shoe. It has even branched out into an SPD-compatible Chelsea boot.

The Gran Tourer XC is Quoc’s premium shoe for gravel riding, cross-country riding and ultra-distance racing.

The shoe has a one-piece upper with a single stitched seam at the heel.

It features twin adjustment dials and a generously padded tongue. The outsole combines a stiff carbon midsole with a grippy, soft TPU tread.

The shoes come with a soft bag, multiple-depth arch supports and two sets of studs (short and long). Our test pair weigh in at 371.6g each in size 45 with long studs.

Quoc Escape Road

The Escape Road is Quoc’s adventure-oriented road shoe.

The upper is light, flexible and secured with a single dial.

It's paired with a carbon outsole that’s been designed with more flex than the brand's premium race-grade Mono II shoe.

Quoc says this sole balances stiffness and comfort. The outsole also has a replaceable heel bumper, so it should last for plenty of long rides.

The Escape Road also features Quoc’s vibration-absorbing insoles.

It's Quoc’s lowest-priced road shoe to date, at £150/$200. Our size-45 test pair weigh in at 288g each.

Quoc Escape Off-Road

The Escape Off-Road follows the design of the Gran Tourer XC, but with the price point of the Escape Road.

The twin-seam upper has a single dial closure, with the dial wire anchored on zig-zags of reflective webbing.

The sole comes from the same mould as the Gran Tourer XC, but here the TPU tread is bonded to a glass fibre/nylon sole.

Short threaded toe studs are featured, but no second long set is included.

The Off-Roads are priced at £150/$200 and our size-45 test pair weigh in at 339g each.
