Raleigh has launched two new hybrid bikes, the Edale and the Loxley, both of which are available from Halfords now.

They’re designed for smooth roads and bike paths, so could be perfect for laidback summer cycling adventures or riding to work during the warmer months.

Raleigh Edale

The Raleigh Edale boasts a light alloy frame, Shimano 21-speed gearing, alloy V-brakes and large hybrid tyres to improve efficiency. The finishing kit includes a Selle Royal Giara saddle and Raleigh’s own-branded grips. It’s priced at £249.99.

Both men’s and women’s versions are available. The men’s has a cool blue colourscheme, and is available in 18in and 20in sizes, while the turquoise-and-silver women’s model comes in 17in and 19in sizes.

Raleigh Loxley

The Raleigh Loxley shares the same features as the Edale, with the addition of puncture-resistant Schwalbe tyres with reflective sidewalls. It comes fully dressed with mudguards, pannier rack, chainguard and kickstand. Its RRP is £299.99.

This grey and gold steed is available in men’s and women’s versions. The men’s is offered in 18in and 20in frame sizes, while the women’s edition comes in 15in and 18in step-through frame sizes.

Both new bikes – as well as the complete Raleigh adult and kids ranges – are on sale at selected Halfords stores and at Halfords.com. Click and collect and home delivery options are available from the website, and all purchases – in store or online – come with Halfords’ free bike build, a 22-point pre-delivery safety check and a six-week first service.
