At a claimed 1,390g, RockShox says its new SID SL fork is the lightest 110mm-travel cross-country fork on the market.
Despite many riders opting for the burlier SID fork, with 35mm upper tubes and up to 120mm of travel, RockShox says there’s still plenty of demand for the lighter SL version.
As a result, the brand left no stone unturned when it came to producing a fork that could deal with the demands of modern XC racing, while being as light as possible.
The new fork boasts 100-110mm of travel and features include a new DebonAir+ air spring, more bushing overlap and increased tyre clearance.
Pricing starts at £739 / $759 for the SID SL Select 3P and 2P model, and extends to £1,399 / $1,499 for the SID SL Ultimate Flight Attendant fork.
Updates have also been made to the budget Reba XC fork.
Smoother than ever

The new 2026 RockShox SID SL gets a whole new lower-leg assembly, even if the upper tubes remain unchanged at 32mm in diameter.
This enabled the brand's engineers to create more bushing overlap, which in turn helps to lower friction during compression (by avoiding binding stiction caused as the fork flexes when trying to compress), leading to a smoother-feeling, more sensitive fork.
As you’d expect from a fork aimed squarely at XC, there’s a focus on weight saving here, which is why the SID SL isn’t compatible with the wider RockShox Torque Caps.
There’s also a new air spring, inspired by the DebonAir+ spring used in the burlier SID fork.
In that instance, RockShox upped both the positive and negative air-spring volumes considerably to help create a suppler initial stroke.
It has also added a coil top-out spring to help soften any potential clunks when yanking on the bar, as well as employing a revised bottom-out bumper for better end-stroke control.
On top of that, the new SID SL now has more tyre clearance and will accept a 29x2.4in tyre under the fork arch without issue.
Taking flight

RockShox has also updated the Flight Attendant system, enabling it to work with just the fork, should you want to run the automatic compression-adjustment tech on a hardtail.
The brand has also created a customisable ‘AutoMode’ for Flight Attendant, enabling riders to disable the ‘pedal’ or ‘lock’ positions.
That means if you feel ‘pedal’ might be too inefficient for the riding you’re doing, you can bypass it, so when the fork needs to switch to a firmer compression setting, it’ll jump straight to ‘lock’ from ‘open’. Or you can disable the ‘lock’ mode and ensure your fork always remains active in either the ‘open’ or ‘pedal’ modes.
This effectively turns the three-position automatically adjusted damper into a two-position automatically adjusted damper.
It’s not all change

What hasn’t changed on the SID SL is the fact that you still get the choice between 100mm and 110mm of travel.
There’s no 120mm option because it’s simply too weighty and well-catered for by the SID fork, which uses 35mm upper tubes to bolster stiffness.
It also still uses the 2P or 3P Charger Race Day 2 damper (or the Flight Attendant equivalent if you opt for that model).
Both of these can be used with the bar-mounted TwistLoc remote or fork-top adjuster, enabling you to toggle through the modes.
Bang for your XC buck
It’s not all about the SID SL, though, because RockShox is also launching a new Reba fork.
While there are four Reba models, only the Reba Gold is available to buy aftermarket.
The Reba features an SID-inspired DebonAir air spring (not the DebonAir+ spring found on the SID SL and SID) and an XC-tuned Isolator damper, and is built around 35mm legs.
Travel options vary from 100mm to 130mm and the fork will set you back £485 / $549.
