Tour de France 2013 goes to Corsica

First three stages on Mediterranean island

The 2013 Tour de France, also the 100th edition of the race, will start on the Mediterranean island of Corsica, reports our sister site Cyclingnews.com.

The first three stages, all of which will be mass start, will be held on the island. The time trial bikes won't be broken out until the Tour reaches the mainland.

The 2013 Tour de France kicks off on Saturday, 29 June and will finish on Sunday, 21 July.
