DHB, Wiggle’s own label apparel brand, has launched a premium range of bib shorts and jerseys.

DHB Goldline is the online retailer’s first foray into a competitive market against brands such as Castelli and Santini. The DHB Goldline bibshorts cost a relatively affordable £89.99 and the jersey is £69.99. The all-important shorts chamois is Italian company Cytech’s Elastic Interface Comp HP.

We’ll bring you a review shortly.

The kit has been developed with the Wiggle-Honda women’s team and includes some quality features, such as a mesh back panel and silicone grippers on the leg hem to stop the shorts turning into hot pants. The kit is meant for summer riding and the lightweight jersey weighs a claimed 133g.

Styling taps into the current vogue for neutral black – just a red zip in the jersey and some minor reflective tabs on the shorts. The range is limited for now – bibs and a jersey each for men and women – and it sits atop the company’s current ranges of clothing.

The move to premium more premium clothing follows a development earlier this year, in which Wiggle started exclusively selling components made by top German brand Tune.

The Goldline range is available from today – only through Wiggle though.
