Our review
A solidly-constructed bag with a clever layout that works incredibly well when travelling with loads of kit

Pros:

Tough construction will handle bad weather and knocks and scrapes with ease

Cons:

Quality doesn’t come cheap

Made from strong 450D polyester with waterproof zips, Fox's Transition duffle bag can handle just about anything. It looks great and has two handles as well as backpack-style shoulder straps, which make lugging your kit about that bit easier. The bonus here is that it’s roughly carry-on size for most airlines too.

The 45l capacity swallows all the kit needed for weekends away, including bulky items such as shoes and pads.

Inside, it’s split into two compartments. The main one easily fits a trail helmet, shoes, pads and all the clothing you’ll need. Once you’re done riding, it’s a case of stuffing soiled kit into the compartment at the bottom to keep it separate.

There’s also a section with small mesh zipped pockets to stow smaller items in and help keep things organised. On top of that, you’ll find a changing mat inside.

Two small external pockets, one of which is fleece-lined, offer quick access to essentials. External loops allow you to clip lights on, should you be using the Transition for commuting.

Once filled to capacity it’s comfortable on your back. Mine has taken a load of abuse without signs of wear, which is reassuring, considering the high price.
