This is a sound bit of kit, with the feel of a rack that’s built to last. It may take you a while to put it together though – the instructions aren’t the clearest, though the diagrams help.
The rack needs to be positioned precisely and the right fixings used depending on the car. This gives a secure fit, but it’s a pain if you like to swap the rack from car to car.
The rack sits up high, and only a really grumpy police officer would expect you to use a lighting board. Instead of Velcro and strapping, the Easy Grip has wheel trays and clamps which keep bikes reassuringly steady in transit. There’s only space for two bikes, though a three-bike version is available.
