A nice light to ride with, it has a good spot and good peripheral spread

With a useful spot of light and an extra ring of peripheral light, the Stella is much better for riding with than the beam picture would have you believe.

Another nice thing about this light is the superb construction, small compact size and the ease of fitting and removal. The charger finishes off the Ni-Mh battery in just under eight hours and, although it would be nice to have a slightly smaller battery, the one supplied does fit under most stems for a handlebar-only installation. If battery size is important, then spend an extra 50 quid or so and get the Stella L, with compact Li-ion battery instead. The bar mount is good and offers a wide range of adjustability, and it even comes complete with a helmet mount, which is where the Stella's beam pattern really benefits from being mounted higher up.
