A one-size-fits-all helmet may not offer enough refinement of fit to suit everyone, but if it works for you, as it did for us, the X-Ride is an exceptionally good lid for the money.
It incorporates a deep rear section and has the protective feel of a much heavier helmet. The retention system exerts consistent pressure through its circumference, making for a very light and comfortable ride.
The X-Ride also features the soft padded comfort detail on the back of the cradle and round the chin strap, plus the bug mesh that you’d expect to see on more expensive models. The only niggles are that the plentiful vents let hot air out rather than promoting a free-flow of air, and that the peak is rigid.
