The Summit is a waterproof glove and it feels right in terms of its weight, with thin insulation and an instantly warm-touch lining.
The palm is synthetic suede and, with a silicon print on all fingers, it gives a good grip. There isn’t any padding, just an extra reinforcing patch over the key wear points.
We don’t really mind the lack of plush here, but if you know you have issues with numbness and usually need more absorption qualities, this isn’t the glove for you.
It’s good to find proper large pull tabs and wrist adjusters – we particularly like the big Velcro wrist patch that’s easy to hit even when you’re trying to tighten one glove with the other on.
The only thing that isn’t so good here is the fit: the shape is boxy and there’s too much width across the back, making it bunch up if you wear the wrist strap pulled in.
