The new Sceptre gloves from Scott are a pretty comfy, minimalist affair. The stretchy back and thin leather palm offers plenty of movement and decent feel on the bar.
A chunky Velcro fastening keeps things in place, and although stitch-on protection is non-existent they will ward off more decent-sized scrapes or bramble bush interfaces.
They’re warm enough too, without being overly hot. The palm is a decent fit and steadfastly refused to bunch up, which can be the downfall of some slim-fit gloves. We reckon that unless you’re dead-set on chunky plastic add-ons the Sceptres can more than handle just about any abuse going.
