A good glove for general-purpose riding in cold weather

Specialized's gauntlet-style Radiant gloves are the business in cold weather down to freezing point, keeping our digits warm, thanks to a layer of Thinsulate in the fingers and on the back of the hand which helps retain heat.

Wisely, Specialized has kept the palm of the glove as thin as possible to ensure the rider has maximum feel and mobility for braking/gear shifting duties, without going so thin that your palms becomes cold.

The palm itself has a grippy, rubberised feel which helps provide a solid contact with the handlebar, especially in the wet.

Talking of rain, Specialized uses a Hipora waterproof membrane inside the shell to keep hands dry.

A dash of reflective piping helps make the glove visible to motorists — never a bad thing for dark winter rides.
