Our review
A very competent, well-specced bit of outerwear that'll take the grimmest days in its stride – just don't expect a close fit

The All Mountain jacket from Alpinestars is a sturdy bit of kit that does a great job of keeping rain and mud at bay on the nastiest of days. The solid construction means it’s better suited to colder temperatures, but thanks to the two large, zipped vents and the fabric’s breathability, it takes a while to get clammy on warmer wet days too.

We found ourselves using the two large zipped pockets constantly, while hem, cuff and hood adjustment makes it easy to cinch things up for a good fit. There are some useful internal stash pockets, the high collar provides a great barrier against the elements and the fleece lining means it’s nice and comfy.

Our medium sample jacket came up quite big but that means there’s room for layering up underneath or fitting over protective gear. The dropped rear helps protect your nether regions from spray, which is handy on all-dayers.
