Altura Crosslite Jacket review

Altura Crosslite Jacket review

Squarely aimed at the 'keep it light and simple' school of thought, the Crosslite takes on the lightweight packable jackets - like the Alp-X from Gore and Pace's 3x3 - but does it at a fraction of the price.

Our review
Performance jacket that's high on breathability, low on cost

Squarely aimed at the 'keep it light and simple' school of thought, the Crosslite takes on the lightweight packable jackets - like the Alp-X from Gore and Pace's 3x3 - but does it at a fraction of the price.

The Altek Reactive fabric feels like it should boil you in the bag, but is in fact incredibly breathable and was a genuine surprise.

The simple construction keeps the weight down and the performance fit has a touch more room underneath compared to the sculpted Gore jacket. It hasn't got the same attention to detail as the more pricey jackets and isn't as hard-wearing, but it does deliver very impressive performance for the pound.

If you're after a sporty, lightweight, breathable, windproof and waterproof jacket that you want to carry light and whip on at a moment's notice, then the Crosslite makes an excellent choice, especially if you're on a budget. Features include a welded chest pocket, water-resistant zips, elastic draw waist and neck, rear map pocket and carry bag.
