An interesting concept that’s worth experimenting with layering combos

Worn as a mid layer, this new hybrid windproof Cold Killers softshell from UK-based Knox is an interesting idea.

The windproof chest and arm front panels are made from ultra stretchy, three-ply laminated fabric lined with a cosy, light fleece.

The back of the main body and arms are the same light fleece, letting the body regulate heat easily. It’s definitely comfy under clothing.

The fit is quite good but it has a tendency to ride up a bit. Coupled with a merino wool base layer, this could be a great early season combo. It’s good to see someone come up with a new idea.
