Dare 2b’s Fired Up gilet is cut from Ilus windshell polyester fabric that is soft to touch. This material is wind resistant and has been given a water-repellent treatment that does a solid job of seeing water bead and roll off during light showers.
The fabric is found throughout the gilet, so it also does a good job at keeping road spray at bay. The front zip features a draft flap to keep the chills out, but we did find the small front-zip a little fiddly to work with, especially with gloved hands.

While it isn’t as light or small-packing as some, you’ll have no problem fitting it into a jersey pocket or work bag. Plus, at this price it offers good value, especially when it comes to cooler, damper and darker days.
