Our review
Appealing performance at a palatable price, but a zipped pocket would be a bonus

Pros:

Higher-end features; lean and stretchy fabrics; good breathability

Cons:

See-through mustard version; no zipper garage or zipped pocket

The Pro SL Jersey from Endura sneaks under the £100 mark, but there are features here that wouldn’t look out of place on a jersey costing far more.

It's made from polyester and elastane, with a large rear mesh section designed to keep you cool.

Overall, it impresses, delivering high-spec performance for a mid-level price.

Endura Pro SL Jersey specification

The Pro SL boasts dimpled, laser-cut arm sleeves that sit securely on the arms without restricting you.

A classy waist hem is minimalist yet secure, and the jersey features a lean and featherweight combination of polyester (80 per cent) and elastane (20 per cent).

There’s a sizeable knitted mesh area at the back, designed to improve breathability.

Storage-wise, there’s a trio of rear pockets, but a zipped compartment for cards, cash or a phone is sadly missing.

The Endura Pro SL jersey is available in four colours ('mustard' as tested, 'deep teal', 'ink blue' and 'pomegranate'). It’s also available in a women’s specific cut.

I tested a size S, and Endura offers a decent range of sizes, spanning XS to 2XL.

Dimpled sleeves are designed to reduce drag. Ashley Quinlan / Our Media

The above basic specifications ensure a close-fitting but flexible feel on the roads.

The drag-reducing appeal is further heightened by those dimpled arm sleeves, although it was impossible to tell if it made a substantial difference to my speed.

The application of mesh on the back resulted in a breathable feel on hilly summer rides.

There are recycled fabrics in the mix and I like the visual design, but the frontal panel is somewhat see-through.

In the lighter 'mustard' colourway, the thin material is quite revealing. Ashley Quinlan / Our Media

The thinness further improved the breathability, but next time I’d opt for the 'deep teal' or 'ink blue' versions over displaying my bodily hair (or a baselayer) underneath.

The jersey is as tidy inside as it is out, with bonded inner seams that minimise the chances of chafing.

I appreciated the reflective details on the back too.

However, I missed the presence of a zipper garage, experiencing some rubbing against my upper chest. It’s an easily remedied addition that Endura could incorporate in a future version of the jersey.

Endura Pro SL Jersey bottom line

Endura has struck a good balance of performance and affordability. Ashley Quinlan / Our Media

The Endura Pro SL is a stylish and high-performing jersey at a mid-level price.

It's nicely breathable, there are practical reflective details and the design is appealing.

However, the jersey would benefit from the addition of a zipped pocket and zipper garage.
