Simple style, excellent quality top with cooling mesh inserts

German manufacturers Vaude have a good range of enthusiast bike wear and specialist touring kit besides. The Dolce is something of a staple garment in a quality, poly/elasthane blend and single-colour style.

It's accented though by four curved mesh panels that shape the sides and cool things off under the arms and to the top of the back. The main fabric feels cool and smooth, much like Gore's Coolpower but with less of a peach-fuzz softness. It performs similarly too, staying comfortable when you heat up by drawing moisture to the outside.

There's a short, hidden front zip that pulls up into a mini-collar at the neck and two good-sized pockets. The grippy elastic-banded hem stays put over Lycra but can ride up if worn with baggies. Cut is comfortably trim with raglan sleeves and non-elasticated cuffs.
