Surf styling, an airy nature and a light, yet rugged fabric. It all works

If you like your riding short to come with a little surf style then the Hyperlight could be the one for you.

We were sceptical about whether the boardshort-style lace-up front would work but actually it does, because that’s not where you set the fit of the waist – that comes courtesy of two back-pulling-to-front tab adjusters, which even when set still allow for just enough give. The stretchy back yoke further boosts the feeling of being able to drop off the saddle without dropping your shorts as well.

As the name would suggest, the fabric feels light to ride in (but is also still suitably rugged). The airy nature is added to by long mesh inserts and a wicking lining. A seamless crotch panel means you’re good to go without a liner too.
