You may need to don your sunglasses when wearing them, but these shorts perform where it matters

In case you’re wondering, neon is very 2014, and as well as being ‘on trend’, as the style mags would say, these shorts turn in a good performance too.

The shell is both lightweight and hardwearing, with a contrast seat panel that not only improves durability but also helps keep the neon panels clean.

The high-backed waist has wicking mesh on the inside with a lightly grippy pattern, and the long vents on the front of the thighs are well placed and effective.

The 12in inseam is probably as short as we’d want to go though. The liner isn’t constructed from our preferred mesh but is well made and has a flexibly comfortable pad – it complements the outer short in both performance and quality terms to provide a good riding combination.
