These shorts don't have any integrated padding, but come with Revolution’s own boxer-style, Coolmax-padded undershorts (also available to buy separately for £12.67).
You get a lot of versatility in this wallet-friendly, Endura-made product. There are four front pockets – two zipped and two unzipped – with a couple more at the rear, along with Velcro hem adjusters and a belt, which we promptly lost; thankfully, these work fine without it.
Construction quality is good, with strong stitching and a nylon seat panel. The front of the shorts has a luxurious, smooth, satin-like finish. Combined with the undershorts, or other Lycra shorts, these are ideal for longer rides.
