Our review
Downhill-inspired but versatile short that looks great off the bike too

Made from a durable 600 denier fabric, the Rivet shorts almost stand up by themselves, but once on they feel light and are easy to pedal in.

The cut and fit are excellent, helped by the generous waist adjustment. Once set it holds securely, needing no further attention.

A stretch panel across the rear keeps the backside neatly fitting to your every move, with no saddle snags or unflattering sagginess. We’d use these not only for downhill but on gnarlier cross-country trails too.

The weight of the material does make them one of the warmer shorts available, but a wicking mesh lining and vented pockets help keep you cool, with waterproof zips on the back pockets taking care of the other end of the weather spectrum.
