Altura Airstream review

At first glance, the Alturas look like they’re going to be tiny, but once on they fit really well with good contouring round the thighs.

Confortable and stylish - at a fair price

At first glance, the Alturas look like they're going to be tiny, but once on they fit really well with good contouring round the thighs.

I'm not sure if the drawstring is really needed - but it's easy enough to remove, which would help prevent any chance of it digging in too. The Coolmax pad is comfortable but could do with being thinner and softer at the nose, so it doesn't rub when you're out of the saddle. It's well made for the price, with double stitching on the outside, flatlock stitching on the inside and comfortable leg grippers. There's an understated Altura logo but it's not high vis, as on their cheaper Stream shorts (£19.99).
