Our review
Assos quality and performance at a fair price Buy if, You want well-built bibshorts that will work well for a wide range of riders

Pros:

All round fit, pad performance

Cons:

Price not as cheap as some

It’s hard not to notice how comfortable the T.Equipe shorts from Assos feel as soon as you slip them on with their smooth Lycra panels, wide airy bib straps and neat elastic leg grippers. They just feel good even before you’ve taken a single pedal stroke.

Sizing was spot on and I didn’t have to size up like Assos of old. Inside, the Equipe Evo S7 8mm-thick memory foam pad is aimed at the racer. It looks crude and thin compared to many but works well. It has a floating design and the idea is that it moves naturally as you pedal.

This movement isn’t noticeable while pedalling, and the combination of the memory foam and movement delivers high on comfort.

Ventilation holes encourage airflow, making for a dry and chafe-free ride, especially on warmer days.

Considering these are Assos’ mid-price summer shorts, the performance is impressive all round and for most it would be hard to justify paying double for its range topping T.Campionissimo S7 bibs.
