Coating individual fibres with a hydrophobic coating took care of the water repellence and retention issues but, to reduce weight without becoming overly see-through, new weaving techniques were required. The outcome of Bioracer’s research was a 40 percent lighter fabric and, in a world of marginal gains, it can all help.
During testing, the shorts always felt dry and are able to quickly move away sweat or rain moisture. The minimalism theme continues with a single thickness perforated foam pad. Despite the lack of bells and whistles, we had no issues here. They are available in custom, fully sublimated designs to order and if you can find a stockist, you will not be disappointed.
