The first thing you notice about the Dixons is the deep foam brow pad, and in fact that’s the defining feature of their performance.
The thick foam absorbed sweat from our brow well but severely cut down ventilation, which left us with steamed-up lenses after only a few minutes’ hard effort.
Every cloud has a silver lining, though, and if you have sensitive eyes then the Dixons offer great protection from wind.
Something else we didn’t like, though, was that the frames sit away from the face and are obviously visible, particularly in lower head positions, giving an unpleasant claustrophobic feel to our ride.
