Expensive, but they'll last a long time and should make even diehard shorts-wearers think again

The ALP-X SO pants from Gore are slim fitting and extremely comfortable riding trousers, made from Windstopper softshell material. The fit has been tailored with performance in mind.

There’s an adjustable Velcro waistband to ensure a good fit, adjustable leg width zippers, plus neat reinforced panels on the inside of the leg to protect them from the chain. The zippered side mesh inserts aid ventilation, and there are two back zip pockets for holding essentials.

When you get out on the bike, the Gore Windstopper material comes into its own. With great water resistance and total windproofing, they still breathe while you work hard. The combo of stretchy, soft fabric and slim fit means you don’t really notice that you're in trousers.
