Our review
If CNP stuff is good enough for the pros of Team Sky, it should be good enough for us

We found the Elite Energy drink easy to mix, dissolving well without having to shake it too vigorously.

The tropical flavour is quite sweet but not overwhelmingly so, though it does have a slightly artificial, sweetener-like aftertaste. But it’s easy to consume throughout rides, causing no stomach irritation. It’s also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

The 30g of carbohydrate per 500ml put the Elite in the middle of the energy drink content range, and the electrolytes should aid hydration throughout your ride.

The 50-litre tub makes the drink reasonably good value too. A smaller 385g tub is also available for £10.

Team Sky and British Cycling Team use CNP products, which adds some credibility to the drink.
