Our review
Stout, reasonably smooth, light, full feature fork at a great price

The 55 is a whole new fork for Marzocchi and this mid-level model is proving a big hit. Big bottom end, brace and crown with 35mm stanchions and QR20 screw-through axle give impressive stiffness, at a good weight.

The stroke is smooth with nice progression added by the low pressure air spring. There’s no obvious empty spots bar occasional rebound/top-out clunks off big drops and it’ll take on long step/rock sections without worry. Apart from the fact it’ll hurt your fingers, the ATA2 travel winder works well through 120-160mm (4.7-6.3in).

It’ll suit many bikes and the TST2 gives basic compression control to stop climbing/braking dive. We’ve run several ATA2s without problems.
