What makes the extended travel Revelation so good? You'll certainly wonder what we're on about for the first few rides, as it takes a while to relax and smooth out. Once it's loosened up though, you can balance the positive and negative air springs to give whatever initial feel you want. Travel is incrementally adjustable from 100-130mm (85-130mm in coil version) for lifting or dropping the nose of your bike to suit the occasion.
The compression damping also includes an adjustable 'Floodgate' threshold setting if you want the fork semi or completely locked in response to braking or pedalling loads. For a QR axled fork it's usefully stiff and steerable too, with no distracting flex or flutter, even when you're working it hard at full travel. They're even relatively light considering how feature packed they are.
What really makes the Revelation - and most other RockShox - forks great trail companions though is their phenomenal long term user friendliness. Wherever and however often you ride, you can just plug them in and play uninterrupted, while most other forks gradually grind to a halt. This fork is well worth the ticket price.
